It all starts with a hosting platform
Included in the price is a hosting account in your name that only you have access to. In order to do this you will have to own an email account.
The next step is a URL
A URL is the name of a website. the URL of this website is websitearchitects.online for instance.
Your website can end in various different ways. It can end with .com, .net, .co.za. There are many choices. The cost of the URL is also included in the price of your course. If your URL is already taken by someone else, you can always end your website with a different domain ending.
The chances are big that you will be able to get the URL of your dreams, but it is not guaranteed.
You should have an idea for your website ready when we start the course.
The design
What type of websites do you like? It helps if you already have a vision. Search for a few examples of what you would like to try.
Now the fun starts
We teach you how to build a website on WordPress.
Why wordpress?
WordPress is the most widely used website building app. You will encounter WordPress on most, if not all web hosting platforms.
The principles of most web building apps are similar, though. So if you practice with WordPress, chances are good that you would be able to figure other apps as well.
What will you learn?
Our job is to demystify web building for you.
You will learn to build multiple pages and make them look great.
You will learn how to use templates, but you will also learn how to build a page from scratch. But don’t worry, by the time you do that, building a website won’t feel like an impossible task anymore. It will feel like maybe you can do anything you set your mind to.
You will design your own backgrounds and logos using graphical design programs and you will have time to work on your site with us there to assist you when you need it.
Autonomy
The idea is not for us to build the website for you, but for us to guide you while you build it. For that reason, you will have plenty of time to work on your website after each lesson.
